Starting Point – USP

The unique selling proposition (or USP) is one of the most powerful sentences you’ll ever create for your business. It’s also the starting point for all your marketing copy.

Unfortunately, some people have been in business for years and are unable to articulate their USP. In short, their company’s strategic direction is poorly defined.

Two questions that allow me to consistently refine my USP are the following:

  • “How do you solve the problem differently than your competitors?” (A ‘narrative’ answer)
  • “How much difference does your difference make than your competitors’?” (A ‘numbers’ answer)

My USP centers around the business owner. He or she is the appreciating asset in every company and also the change-maker who brings dreams to reality.

I work with individuals who are conscious that success in life is not just the bottom line. Although money is important, I care about how the business owner is driven by his or her values and therefore lives a more fulfilled life.

I’m passionate about amplifying the impact of my clients’ companies. We will start with identifying purpose, for purpose leads to vision. Vision then translates into strategic and tactical goals. I care about how the business owner grows spiritually, intellectually, and physically as he or she expresses his or her values into the company. All defines entrepreneurial mastery, not just entrepreneurial financial success.

I provide my expertise as a professional coach and as a long-time CFO and help business owners create a foundation for their companies so that they can scale and replicate internationally. I help them become someone who can think into each level of growth at a much deeper level. This catalyzes success.  

It is no surprise that the largest venture capital firms are creating in-house finance, operations, marketing, and coaching offerings for their portfolio companies to use.
