Standout

I’ve been watching a Netflix original program called “Chef’s Table”.

It goes inside the lives and kitchens of 6 of the most renowned international chefs. Each episode focuses on a single chef and their unique look at their lives, talents and passions and how their restaurant has made it into the top 50 best restaurants in the world.

What stands out is that each chef has discovered their authentic self and only by doing so have they been able to propel themselves to a level of excellence.

Here are some things I’ve learned from the series that has led the chefs and could lead you also to entrepreneurial mastery:

  1. Discover my authentic self and then make my unique voice louder
  2. Make my work my own so it doesn’t feel like work
  3. 100% believe in who I am
  4. Put my soul into my work
  5. I must be driven by my values, purpose, passion, and vision
  6. I must only do things true to me
  7. I must take risks at the front end so that I don’t have to pay the price at the backend
  8. Make each item of work a piece of art
  9. Build a standout team

My friend once told me: “I’m less interested in money and human glory than in the opportunity to adventure, grow and be swept up into a bigger and better story.”

I believe each chef’s unique selling proposition has blossomed out of his or her true self and is allowing each one to live a story they had never imagined possible.
